Griffin Pendant | Antique Charm

Chatelaine pins, watch pins, and stick pins featuring chimera or griffin-like creatures were quite popular and produced by most of the fine American jewelry manufacturing companies around the turn of the 20th century.

This 14k gold charm was converted from an antique stick pin (circa 1890) by removing the pin stem and adding a jump ring bail. The piece depicts a griffin with a single pearl accent.

The piece measures 0.8 inches from the top of the jump ring to the bottom of the piece by 0.8 inches wide. It is in very good condition.
