Shakudo Earrings | Antique Shakudo Earrings with Diamonds

"Hope is the thing with feathers, that perches in the soul, and sings a tune without the words, and never stops at all..." -- Emily Dickinson

These elegant Shakudo dangles feature mixed metals birds of paradise resting atop a branch set against an intense black backdrop. Shakudo is a Japanese mixed metal technique that involved an alloy of copper and gold that was treated to give it a dark black patina. Shakudo pieces were used to decorate armor and were later incorporated into jewelry and art.

These antique shakudo pieces were set in 14k gold and also have 14k gold ear wires.

The earrings measure 1.1 inches from top to bottom by 0.7 inches wide. They are in very good condition.

Materials: Gold.
