Shakudo Pendant | Antique Shakudo Piece set in 14k gold with an Optional 18k Chain

You'll fall in love with this miniature work of art masquerading as a pendant.

This stunning Shakudo pendant features a three dimensional mixed metal scene of two quails in a flowery meadow at sunset. Shakudo is a Japanese mixed metal technique that involved an alloy of copper and gold that was treated to give it a dark black patina. Shakudo pieces were used to decorate armor and were later incorporated into jewelry and art.

This antique piece dates to the late 1800s; however, our jeweler added a domed 14k gold back and bail to transform it into a pendant.

The pendant measures 1.3 inches from top to bottom by 1.6 inches wide, and we are providing the option to purchase it with or without the 24 inch 18k gold chain depicted in the photos.

Materials: Gold.
