"Be like the bird that, passing on her flight awhile on boughs too slight, feels them give way beneath her, and yet sings, knowing that she hath wings." –Victor Hugo
This eye catching swallow brooch would add the perfect finishing touch to any ensemble. The dramatic brooch (circa 1890-1900) is accented with half pearls, turquoise glass cabochon, and a tiny red glass eye for the perfect finishing touch.
The brooch is unmarked, but acid tests for 10k gold. It is in very good condition; however, under magnification a few of the cabochons appear to be later replacements.
The pendant measures 1.3 inches tall by 2.1 inches wide.
Materials: Gold, Pearl.
