An elegant Victorian era sterling silver locket featuring hand etching and appliques in rose and yellow gold. The locket depicts a bird chasing an insect above a floral garland.
The locket bears hallmarks indicating that it was assayed in Birmingham, England. The exact date hallmark is worn, but the piece dates to the late Victorian era (circa 1890-1900).
The locket measures 2.3 inches from the top of the bail to bottom by 0.4 inches wide. It is in very good condition; however, there are a few minor indentations on the reverse visible under close inspection.
Materials: Silver, gold, rose gold, yellow gold, sterling silver.
