Vintage Gemstone Sputnik Earrings of 18k Gold

In 1957, the Soviet Union launched the Sputnik satellite into space, and designers found inspiration in the satellite craze.

These vintage earrings (circa 1960-1970) feature 'sputniks' of 18k gold with assorted colored gemstones and screw back posts.

Each earring measures 0.75 inches wide, and they are in great condition. They have a combined weight of 6.93 grams.
