Antique Amethyst Cameo Ring of 14k and 18k Gold

An exceptional antique ring centered with a finely carved amethyst cameo, depicting the face of a woman framed by a delicate halo of rose cut diamonds and half pearls, all set in 18 karat gold. The rich violet hue of the amethyst provides a striking ground for the intricate carving, while the surrounding diamonds and pearls lend softness, sparkle, and refined contrast.

Originally part of a Victorian brooch dating to 1860, the piece has been thoughtfully transformed by our jeweler through removal of the original pin findings and the addition of a 14 karat gold band, allowing the historic element to be worn as a ring.

The face of the ring measures 1 inch by 0.65 inches wide, offering a bold yet graceful presence. The ring weighs 7.40 grams and is presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and details well preserved. Currently a size 5, the ring may be marginally resized for an additional charge.

Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming 18K gold with a 14K replacement band.
