Antique Ruby and Diamond Locket of 14k and 18k Gold

An impressive antique locket dating to 1898–1908, centered with a 0.58ct natural and unenhanced strong vivid red ruby, accented by three old mine cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.93 carats, all set in 14 karat bloomed gold with finely detailed 18 karat green gold leaves. The combination of warm gold tones and subtle green gold accents creates a layered, naturalistic design, while the vibrant ruby and brilliant diamonds provide striking contrast and luminosity. The reverse bears the engraved initials “SZ,” adding a personal and historical dimension to the piece.

The locket measures 2.7 inches from the top of the bail to the bottom and 1.6 inches wide, with a substantial weight of 42.01 grams, giving it a bold and luxurious presence when worn. It is presented in great antique condition, with stones secure and detailing well preserved.
