Antique Diamond, Spinel, and Demantoid Garnet Ring of 12k and 14k Gold

A dramatic antique ring dating to 1890–1900, designed as a sweeping spray of old European cut diamonds, red spinel, and vivid green demantoid garnets set in 12 karat gold. The lively arrangement of gemstones creates a dynamic composition typical of late Victorian jewelry, with sparkling diamonds interspersed among richly colored stones to evoke a naturalistic floral spray. The bright green demantoids and vibrant pink spinel provide striking color contrast, lending the piece exceptional visual vitality.

The face of the ring measures 1.4 inches by 0.5 inches wide, creating an elegant, elongated presence across the finger. The ring remains in good antique condition, with light surface wear to the gemstones. The 14 karat gold band is a later replacement, added to ensure structural integrity and comfortable wear.

Currently a size 6, the ring may be professionally resized for an additional charge.

Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming 12K gold for the original setting and 14K gold for the replacement band.
