Antique Shibuichi Stickpin of 14k Gold

A distinctive antique stickpin dating to 1880–1900, centered with a decorative panel of shibuichi, a traditional Japanese metal alloy of copper and silver prized for its rich, dark patina and intricate surface decoration. The patterned shibuichi element, which is designed to look like a tapestry of fabrics, is set within a square frame of 14 karat gold. The pin stem is also 14k.

The pin head measures 0.65 inches by 0.65 inches wide, with the entire stickpin measuring 3.2 inches in length, giving it a refined and elegant profile when worn. It is presented in great antique condition, with the surface details well preserved.

The piece may be purchased in its original stickpin form, or we can convert it into a charm or pendant for an additional charge, allowing it to be worn in a more contemporary manner.

Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming 14K gold components.
