Art Nouveau Opal Charm of 9k Gold

A graceful Art Nouveau charm centered with a luminous opal, above flowing flourishes of 9 karat gold that reflect the organic, nature-inspired lines characteristic of the movement. Dating to 1890, the design captures the period’s fascination with fluid forms and ethereal gemstones, with the opal displaying subtle flashes of color that shift beautifully in the light.

Originally created as an antique stickpin, the piece has been thoughtfully transformed by our jeweler through removal of the original pin stem and the addition of a 14 karat gold bail, allowing the historic element to be worn as a pendant or charm.

The piece measures 1 inch from the top of the bail to the bottom and 0.5 inches wide, weighing 0.69 grams. It remains in great antique condition.

Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming 9K and 14K gold components.
