Victorians were fascinated with naturalism and brought their flora and fauna indoors in the form of terrariums and small greenhouses. Victorian women were also known to wear jewelry inspired by plants and animals -- including necklaces, earrings, and bracelets made to look like insects, bugs, and flowers.
This 10k gold fly ring, began life as a Victorian necklace. The top of the ring features a fly with a turquoise thorax and five half pearl accents. The fly is 9ct gold, while the band is 10k gold (marked).
The ring is currently a size 5.5, but can be re-sized free of charge. The insect measures 0.45 inches (12mm) wide by 0.45 inches (12mm) tall and the condition is excellent.
