An outstanding treasure for any antique jewelry enthusiast!
This rare ring was handcrafted on the Iberian peninsula (Spain or Portugal) in the mid to late 1700s. The 14k gold ring features features an array of table cut red spinels (with one garnet) in rub over collets with a glistening rose cut diamond at its center. The diamond is approximately 30 points (0.30ct).
The ring is in good condition; however, the center rose cut diamond is a later replacement stone, as is one of the side stones. In addition, there are nibbles and chips to the spinels (visible only under magnification).
