Antique Enamel Patch Box | 18th Century Patch Box

During the 18th century, a commonly gifted item was a patch box. These tiny porcelain boxes often expressed beautiful sentiments on the outside, while the inside held patches of gummed taffeta, used to cover blemishes or to decorate one's skin.

This antique patch box features white and royal blue enamel with the quote, 'May friendship & Love Be ever United'. The box (circa 1790-1820) is in great condition for its age and would make a lovely gift for a treasured friend.

It measures 1.5 inches by 1.9 inches wide and 0.95 inches tall.

Materials: Enamel, metal.
