This attention grabbing bird brooch dates to the Victorian era (circa 1870-1900). The brooch is ornamented with rose cut bohemian garnets set in a base metal mounting. The bird holds a little letter in its beak and has a tiny simulated pearl eye.
It measures 2.8 inches wide by 1.6 inches from top to bottom. It is in very good condition.
