Antique Georgian Enamel Patch Box

During the 18th century, a commonly gifted item was a patch box. These tiny enamel boxes often expressed beautiful sentiments on the outside, while the inside held patches of gummed taffeta, used to cover blemishes or to decorate one's skin.

This antique patch box (circa 1780-1800) features cobalt blue and white enamel with the quote, 'Remember me when this you see' above a basket of flowers.

The piece measures 1.25 inches by 1.6 inches wide and 0.9 inches tall. It is in great condition with minor signs of wear to the enamel.

Materials: Enamel, Metal.
