The striking 14k gold locket dates to the Art Nouveau era (circa 1900-1910) and features a fearsome roaring lion engraved with the initials "MRG." The locket bears the maker's mark for Leys Christie & Co.

The locket measures 1.3 inches from the top of the jump ring bail to the bottom of the locket by 1 inch wide. It is in good condition with some minor wear to the reverse of the piece.
