Antique Turquoise Insect Conversion Pendant of 14k Gold

Victorians were fascinated with naturalism and brought their flora and fauna indoors in the form of jewelry inspired by plants and animals.

This pendant was converted from an antique stickpin (circa 1900-1910) by removing the pin stem and adding a gold bail. It features an insect of 14k gold with diamonds, a turquoise cabochon and two ruby eyes.

The piece measures 0.9 inches from the top of the bail to bottom by 0.65 inches wide. It is in great condition.

Materials: 14k gold, Diamond, Turquoise, Ruby.
