Dramatic and steeped in cross-cultural elegance, this captivating pendant was created from an antique Sri Lankan hairpin (circa 1890), thoughtfully reimagined into a wearable jewel that honors its ornate past.
Crafted in silver gilt with rich gold accents, the piece blooms with a stylized floral motif, adorned with vibrant natural pink rubies and sparkling rose cut jargoons. The result is a glittering blend of color, light, and intricate texture, characteristic of high craftsmanship from the colonial-era Ceylon region.
Measuring approximately 1.9 inches from top to bottom by 1.2 inches wide, the pendant has a substantial presence that balances refinement with statement appeal. It is in excellent antique condition, with surface wear consistent with age but no structural concerns.
Please note: the black leather cord shown in the photographs is not included with the pendant.
Materials: silver, ruby, jargoon.
