Antique Shakudo Floral Earrings with 14k Gold

A pair of antique earrings created from Victorian-era components dating to approximately 1890–1900, featuring floral motifs crafted in shakudo, a traditional Japanese alloy prized for its rich dark patina and frequently incorporated into fine jewelry and decorative arts during the nineteenth century. Originally antique parts, these elements were thoughtfully preserved and transformed by our jeweler into a wearable pair of earrings through the addition of gold backs and 14K gold ear wires.

Each earring measures approximately 2 inches from the top of the ear wire to the bottom and 0.6 inches wide. Together, the earrings weigh 12.76 grams and remain in great condition.

Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming that the pieces are 14k gold and shakudo.

These earrings beautifully combine authentic nineteenth-century artistry with modern wearability, creating a unique and elegant statement piece.
