Antique Shakudo with Pink Tourmaline Earrings of 14k Gold

Shakudo is a Japanese mixed metal technique that involved an alloy of copper and gold that was treated to give it a dark black patina.

These extraordinary earrings were converted from a pair of antique mixed metal cufflinks (circa 1890-1900). Our jeweler mounted the shakudo pieces in 14k gold and added pink tourmaline surmounts.

Each earring measures 1.55 inches from the top of the ear wire to bottom by 1 inch wide. They are in great condition.

Materials: 14k gold, Tourmaline.
