Tigers are one of the most revered animals in Chinese culture, said to symbolize power, strength, courage, and wealth.
This magnificent tiger pendant (circa 1890-1910) is fearsome and beautiful at the same time. The 10k gold tiger was originally an antique stick pin transformed with the addition of a 10k gold bail. It is finely rendered with iridescent orange, black and cream enamel, two tiny garnet eyes, and a diamond in its teeth.
A perfect piece for channeling your inner strength, this tiger pendant can be worn by itself or layered with other chains or necklaces.
The tiger's face measures 0.6 inches from top to bottom (0.8 inches with the bail) by 0.5 inches wide, and we are providing the option to purchase the pendant with or without the 16 inch 14k gold chain depicted in the attached photos.
The overall condition is good; however, there is a bit of loss to the enamel on the face (visible only under very close inspection).
Materials: Diamond, Gold.
