Art Nouveau Diamond and Enamel Brooch of 14k Gold

With its languid curves and dreamlike form, this brooch is a quintessential example of Art Nouveau design, evocative of both surrealist abstraction and natural beauty. Its form, subtly reminiscent of the interior of an oyster shell, is brought to life with iridescent purple and yellow enamel, while a single glittering diamond accent provides a luminous focal point.

The reverse of the jewel is engraved “Dec 25–06”, dating the piece to Christmas of 1906, and adding a layer of personal history to its artistic allure.

Measuring approximately 0.9 inches from top to bottom by 1.2 inches wide, the brooch remains in good antique condition. It shows an old repair to the pin catch and minor enamel restoration at the lower left edge, both consistent with its age and careful preservation.

Its gold and gemstone content have been professionally verified using X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis, jeweler’s acid testing, and gemstone assessment, confirming authenticity and quality.

Materials: enamel, diamond, gold, 14k gold.
