Antique Emerald Bird Conversion Earrings of 14k Gold

Swallows were a common motif in Victorian and Edwardian jewelry symbolic of faithful love and a safe return home.

These Victorian earrings were converted from a pair of antique cuff links (circa 1870-1890). The recessed face of the earrings is a mixed metal, while the domed backs and ear wires are 14k gold. Tiny emerald surmounts add an elegant dash of color.

Each earring measures 1.3 inches from the top of the ear wire to bottom by 0.9 inches wide. They are in very good condition.

Materials: Emerald, Gold.
