- Beauty is who you are. Jewelry is simply icing on the cake. - M.Burgess
Representations of butterflies have been popular for ages, dating back nearly 3,500 years ago to the Egyptian frescoes at Thebes. The beautiful butterfly is often associated with the human soul – signifying change, hope, and life.
This colorful butterfly charm dates to the Art Deco era (circa 1925-1935). It features natural rubies, sapphires, emeralds, and opals in platinum.
The charm measures 0.65 inches from top to bottom by 0.65 inches wide. It is in very good condition; however, one of the opals is a later replacement and some of the stones show surface wear (under magnification).
Materials: Ruby, Platinum.
