Carousel Charm | 14k Gold & Enamel Charm

The word carousel comes from the Italian word 'carosella' or 'little battle', which was a type of battle preparation done by knights that involved circling one other on horseback.

This vintage charm (circa 1950-1960) features a carousel of 14k gold with horses adorned in white, black and red enamel. The horses spin around the center flag, much like the actual ride.

The piece measures 0.8 inches from the top of the jump ring to bottom by 0.5 inches wide and is in good condition with some wear to the enamel.
