Dragon or Basilisk Charm | Antique Dragon Charm

Jewelry incorporating dragons, griffins and other mythological creatures was quite popular during the Art Nouveau era.

This finely rendered charm was originally a finely rendered Art Nouveau era stick pin (circa 1900-1915). The charm depicts a dragon wrapped around a pearl topped scepter with a ruby in its talons and tiny red glass eye.

The pendant is unmarked, but tests for 14k gold. It measures 0.7 inches wide by 1.0 inches tall and is in good condition.
