Antique Griffin Brooch of 14k Gold

Chatelaine pins, watch pins, and stick pins featuring chimera or griffin-like creatures were quite popular and produced by many of the fine jewelry manufacturing companies around the turn of the 20th century.

This antique brooch (circa 1910) features a griffin of 14k gold with a demantoid garnet, a pearl studded sword hilt, and a single ruby eye.

The brooch measures 1.3 inches from top to bottom by 1.15 inches wide and is in good condition.
