Daisies invoke sentiments of innocence and childhood, and for many, conjure up memories of plucking daisy petals while playing the school yard game "He loves me, he loves me not."
This elegant pearl daisy dates to the early 1900s (circa 1910-1920). The brooch features shimmery, natural pearls (possibly Mississippi river pearls) radiating from a gold and diamond center.
The brooch is unmarked, but acid tests for 14k gold. It measures 1.2 inches from top to bottom and 1.1 inches in width and is in very good condition with some glue residue on the reverse of the post set pearls.
