K980
This Victorian-era antique ring (circa 1870–1880) features a diamond star set in 14k gold, its celestial motif enhanced by turquoise-blue enamel. The vibrant enamel provides a striking contrast to the sparkle of the diamond, a combination much loved during the high Victorian period for its symbolism of guidance, protection, and constancy.
The face of the ring measures 0.4 inches from north to south, offering a bold yet refined presence on the hand. The ring weighs 2.8 grams and is currently a size 6. Due to its construction, it cannot be resized.
The gold content has been authenticated through XRF (x-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, ensuring purity and integrity. In very good condition, the ring shows some past cold enamel repairs visible only under magnification—typical of antique enamel work and a testament to its age.
A beautiful example of Victorian design, this jewel combines timeless symbolism with fine craftsmanship, making it a distinctive addition to any curated collection.
