Victorian Enamel Cherub Pendant of 14k of 18k Gold

A charming Victorian pendant featuring a winged cherub nestled among delicate flowers, beautifully rendered in enamel. The combination of the celestial figure and botanical motifs creates a wonderfully sentimental piece of mid 19th-century jewelry.

Originally an antique jewelry element, circa 1865, the piece was thoughtfully converted into a wearable pendant by our jeweler, who added a 14K gold backing and bail while preserving the original 18K gold and enamel design.

The pendant measures approximately 1 inch from the top of the bail to the bottom by 0.9 inches wide and weighs 2.54 grams. It remains in great antique condition.

Material identification has been confirmed through professional examination of the enamel and original 18K gold components. Metal authenticity has been professionally verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing, confirming solid 18K gold construction for the original element and 14K gold construction for the added backing and bail.
