Victorian Turquoise Navette Ring of 17k Rose Gold

A Victorian-era antique ring featuring rows of calibre-cut turquoise accented by two Old European-cut diamonds, all set in warm 17K rose gold. The inside of the band is inscribed May 15 [...]7 (likely May 15, 1887 or 1897) preserving a personal detail from the ring’s history that was a bit obscured by past re-sizing. The precisely arranged turquoise creates a striking band of vivid blue, beautifully contrasted by the brilliance of the antique diamond accents and the soft blush of the gold setting.

The ring face measures approximately 0.9 inches by 0.3 inches wide, and the ring weighs 3.87 grams. It is currently a size 5 and can be professionally resized for an additional charge. It remains in great antique condition.

Metal authenticity was verified using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s acid testing to confirm the 17K rose gold construction. Turquoise and diamond identification were done using Raman spectroscopy, a non-destructive analytical technique that provides a precise chemical fingerprint to help characterize the gemstones.
