- Beauty is who you are. Jewelry is simply icing on the cake. - M.Burgess
For centuries, the snake has been one of the most admired motifs in jewelry design. The intriguing creature is a culturally diverse mythological symbol, with the ability to transform into an alluring piece of slithering serpent inspired jewelry.
This captivating necklace features a finely wrought 18k gold serpent with diamond and pearl accents, that when worn, looks as if it has gently coiled around your neck. The serpent's head is accented with a glistening 0.26ct round brilliant cut diamond of G-H color, SI1 clarity, and a smaller 0.07ct round brilliant cut diamond of G-H color, SI1 clarity dangles from the mouth above a lustrous baroque pearl. The eyes are tiny rose cut diamonds.
The necklace (circa 1940-1950) is marked with what appears to be "SC 56" and the piece acid tests for 18k gold.
It measures 18 inches and is in very good condition with some minor bends in the thick woven chain.
Materials: Diamond, Gold.
